School is starting on August 17th and an Open House has been scheduled at E. A. Powell Elementary on Monday, August 15th for students and parents to visit the building and meet their child’s teacher. The event will begin with a FREE light supper in the school gym from 4:30-6 P.M.
After eating the teachers will greet the students in their classrooms from 5-7 P.M. Students will see their classroom, greet their teachers and see friends in this short visit.
Parents of K-4th grade students are asked to sign up for conference times so please bring your calendars. School fees of $46 can be paid. Remember if the fee is paid before the end of the month, you only have to pay $41!
Parents will also be able to put money on their child’s cafeteria account. School supplies were once again purchased by an anonymous donor. All students will need to have a bookbag and gym shoes.
Parents of new students to the district need to register their child with Mrs. Schwab at the MS/HS building prior to this event.
