North Baltimore Powell Elementary Events for Dec. 31 – Jan. 18. “Let’s Build a Snowman Project” (Start building NOW!)
Let’s Build a Snow Man Project
In keeping with our outdoor theme for this year, we will be having a school wide project that students can work on over the holidays if they choose. We would like every child to create a snowman and bring it in to school by January 15th. Here are the particulars for the project:
Dimensions – No larger than 24 inches
Media – You can use any media you choose (Paint, paper, yarn, mixed media, wood, etc.)
The child should participate in the creation. It should not be done entirely by an adult.
We want them to stand or be hung in the hallways so that we have a Winter Wonderland.
Events:
December 31 Noon Year’s Eve Party 11:30-12:30pm
January 4 School Resumes
January 8 Grade Cards – Quarter 2 – sent home
January 15 Scholastic Honor Roll luncheon
January 18 No School – Martin Luther King Day
HEALTH NOTE –
Miss Tonya reminds everyone that the Norovirus is going around. Make sure that you wash your hands often to keep this from spreading.
Remember that students need hats, gloves, and boots when we go outside in the winter.
Hopefully Santa Claus will make sure that all of our students have what they need for warm play in the new year.
