The first graders at Powell Elementary in North Baltimore, Ohio have been busy preparing their gingerbread house project this week.
Students in Mrs. Wymer, Mrs. Schinsky, and Ms. Shuey’s classes, with some help of some adult volunteers, have been building their very first houses out of gingerbread, frosting, and candy.
This activity is a fun way to learn about shapes, following directions, using fine motor muscles, and making patterns. The creations, although not livable, are enjoyable!
