The Powell PTA presented recess bags to students from each grade level at today’s Kiss Assembly. The PTA has been fundraising by hosting a spirit cart at various school events. Proceeds from these efforts were used to purchase the bags. Each color coordinated bag contains jump ropes, frisbees, kickballs, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and more. The Powell Parent Teacher Associations meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 in the band room at Powell Elementary school. The PTA is open to any community member who would like to be involved. Within the PTA there are various committees to help things run such as: Advocacy, Social, Fundraising and Teacher Appreciation. The next meeting is April 17th at 6:30pm.
