PUBLIC NOTICE – North Baltimore Paving Project
The North Baltimore 2015 Street and Alley Paving Project is scheduled to begin the week of October 5th. Exact start day is weather dependent. Ward Construction will be completing the paving project, which will take approximately 2- weeks. Please contact the Village Office (419)257-2394 with questions or concerns about the project.
The 2015 Paving Project includes the following: Broadway Street from Main to Tarr Street, Tarr Street from railroad to Cherry Street, Maple Street from Gillette to Rudolph Road, Zihlman Street from E. Water to End, Ally off Water Street running North to South from Water Street to Poplar Street, and the East/West Alley between Main Street and Tarr Street, see map.
Ward Construction crews will be working on half of the roadway at a time so streets will remain accessible during the project. Ward Construction will post no-parking in the areas where they plan to mobilize prior to construction. Please be cautious when traveling in and around the project areas.
Main Street was included in the 2015 Paving Bid, but Village Council decided to postpone paving Main Street due to a waterline replacement project that is planned for 2016. The waterline replacement project on Main Street is necessary and your patience and understanding is appreciated as the underground infrastructure is replaced prior to making surface improvements. The streetscape enhancement funding will be available in 2018, which will allow adequate time for waterline trench settling prior to installing surface improvements.
