Rep. Sprague to Discuss Ohio Drug Overdose Numbers in Hancock County

COLUMBUS—Representative Robert Sprague (R-Findlay) will hold a press conference to discuss the Ohio drug overdose statistics for 2015, which are set to be released by the Ohio Department of Health Thursday morning.

Additionally, Rep. Sprague plans to address House Bill 248, legislation for which he is a joint sponsor. House Bill 248 requires Medicaid and other health insurers to treat abuse-deterrent opioid analgesic drugs the same as non-abuse deterrent opioid drugs when it comes to utilization review measures. The bill also requires prior authorization for prescribing opioids for the treatment of chronic pain.
