COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed State Representative Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) to serve on the Ohio House Finance Committee.
The House Finance Committee is tasked with passing the two-year state operating budget, which is being deliberated by the House and is expected to be signed into law by the end of June.
“I am honored by the Speaker’s decision to appoint me to House Finance Committee,” Gavarone said. “I am excited to work with Chairman Smith and the other members of the Finance Committee as we move towards delivering a budget that benefits all citizens of Ohio.”
Gavarone also serves as vice chair of the House Health Committee, as well as a member on the following committees:
- Education & Career Readiness
- Higher Education & Workforce Development
- Civil Justice
Gavorone is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives after being appointed in 2016. She represents the 3rd Ohio House District, serving residents of Wood County.
