North Baltimore Village Council appointed resident David Richmond to fill the vacant seat created when former Councilman Tim Pelton resigned last month. Earlier in the month Richmond had attended a council meeting, and shared he had submitted his name, and desired to “follow in the footsteps of his parents”, who both served the Village of North Baltimore-his mother Nancy, as Village Clerk, and his father Ed, as a Volunteer Fireman.
Council had 30 days to fill the vacant seat and Richmond was immediately sworn in by Mayor Patterson after the council reached their decision.
They put him to work right away, voting on the issues on the agenda for the Special Meeting before adjourning.

I had the privilege to work with David’s mother, Nancy Richmond for a few years. What a sense of humor and always kept us rolling with laughter. Good luck to Councilman David Richmond in his service to the village.
Best wishes David
