Robert C. Grilliot, 65 of rural North Baltimore died at 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born in Findlay on August 17, 1949 to the late Worth C. and Betty (Kitchen) Grilliot. On June 2, 1968 he married Vicki Ramsey and she survives along with four children: Robert A. (Tammy) Grilliot of North Baltimore, Greg (Lisa) Grilliot of Cygnet, Carrie (James) Hingson of North Baltimore and Megan (Alan) Hoffman of Cygnet. Robert is also survived by two brothers: Charlie (Patty) Grilliot of North Baltimore, Steve (Patty) Grilliot of Hammansburg, three sisters: Chrystal (Tom) Dull of MI., Nancy Orwig of North Baltimore, Jennifer (Marc) Toomey of KS., nine grandchildren: Kati, Brittany, Taylor, Rachael, Brandy, Bryan, Grace, Hayden, Cody, two step-grandchildren Ryan and Dustin, great-grandson Landen and three step great-grandchildren Miley, Trynnity and Serennity. Robert was also preceded in death by his step-mother Rosella Parker.
Robert was a truck driver for over forty years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and he enjoyed watching westerns. Robert was also a member of the Church of Christ in North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bob Neuhard officiating. Burial will follow in Jerry City Cemetery.
