Leaving a legacy of love and laughter, Robert (Bob) Weaver, 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 6, 2021at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, OH. Bob was born on July 25, 1944 in Bowling Green, OH to Louis and Laverne (Gebhardt) Weaver. He married Paula (Diane) Weaver on April 15, 1967.
Bob retired from Rockwell International in 2006. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union and former NRA member.
In his younger years, Bob found a passion in tending to his beautiful vegetable gardens. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and performing classics like “Frosty the Red-Nose Reindeer”. Following retirement Bob loved spending time with his family, preparing food for gatherings and cruising in his “Big, mean, green fighting machine”. Perfect afternoons for him, were sitting outside, drinking a Coors Light, listening to Hank Williams, Sr, and Willie Nelson or mowing the lawn in his prized John Deere.
Bob is survived by Paula and their loving children; Brett Weaver of Toledo, Kimberlie (Steve) Wright of North Baltimore; grandchildren Krysta Wright and Morgan (Ethan Bish) Wright; great grandchildren, Trynnity and Serennity, his “Monkeys”. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald, Ronald and Edward Weaver, and his sister Ruth Like.
All services will be private. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township. Arrangements are being handled by SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
