Robert W. “Bob” Lee, 82

Robert W. “Bob” Lee, 82, . He was surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on April 16, 1937 at home, in West Millgrove, Ohio to the late Floyd “Bill” and Helen (Bresler) Lee. Bob graduated from Bloomdale High School in 1955. He married Nancy Slotterbeck on October 12, 1958. They had 4 children, Randy, Laura, Linda, and Michelle. They divorced after 42 years in 2001. Bob then married Becky J. Wickard on August 17, 2016, she survives.

In addition to his loving wife Becky, Bob is survived by son, Randy (Laurie) Lee of Bloomdale; daughters, Laura Pokorny of Wayne, Michelle (Tony) Morlock of Portage; 9 grandchildren, Allisha (Joe) Bonner, Michael Pokorny, Andrew (Jackelyn) Lee, Marissa Lee, Tyler Morlock, Brandon Palmer, Traci, Mckoy, and Shipley Morlock; great-grandson, Jackson Fairbanks; stepchildren, Rob (Jessica) Wickard, Nolan (Amanda) Wickard, Tonya (Mike) Lentz; 10 stepgrandchildren, Nick, Zach, Tori, Hayden, Coen, Emerson, and Lincoln Wickard, Tayte, Mason, and Kade Lentz; brothers, Ronnie (Evelyn) Lee of Florida, Roger (Judy) Lee of Florida; and sister, Luella (John) McEwen of Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Linda Sue Lee (1967); and brother, Richard A. Lee (1993).

Bob served in the United States Army, worked at Libbey Owens Ford & Hancock Wood Electric before settling on what would become his life-long career of owning a Nationwide Insurance Agency for 62 years. From 2000-2014 Bob was also an Elmwood Schools bus driver and with much amazement from his family it was a job that he truly loved!

He was a member of the North Baltimore Lodge #561 F & AM Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, North Baltimore American Legion Post #539, North Baltimore Rotary Club, and the Wood County Farm Bureau.

Social, active, and competitive are all words that would accurately describe him. Bob loved people, and he didn’t know a stranger. He participated in multiple basketball, golf, and bowling leagues well into his 60s, 70s, and even 80s. He was an avid sports enthusiast and loved attending BGSU, Elmwood, and Cleveland Indians and Browns games. He was also a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He loved boating & fishing, and always looked forward to his trips to Georgian Bay, Ontario Canada, & Haines City, Florida. Bob loved watching all of his grandkids participate in their activities and would often be seen passing out candy to the fans in the bleachers.

Friends of Bob will be received Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Perry Township, Wood County with Military Honors performed by the North Baltimore American Legion Post # 539. Immediately following a bereavement luncheon will be held at the North Baltimore American Legion (539 East St., North Baltimore, Ohio 45872).

Memorial donations may be made to the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio (1069 Klotz Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402), or to the Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter (480 W. Dussel Dr., Maumee, Ohio 43537).
