The Rocky Ford Community Theater Committee is planning to present Mame in June, 2016, at the North Baltimore Middle/High School Auditeria. The Committee needs help, lots of help, to put on a successful show. Leadership is needed for some committees, along with people wanting to work BEHIND the scenes, as well as auditions will be coming soon! Please consider your “role” in this wonderful community experience!
From Emily Meyerson, NB Schools Choral Director: On Monday, February 8, 2016 at 7:00pm Rocky Ford Community Theatre will be screening the movie MAME featuring Lucille Ball (for free!) at the Virginia Theater in Downtown North Baltimore. We will have audition materials available then. Please, please, consider coming and getting more information, and possibly getting involved.
We are in immediate need of leadership committee chairs. So far, We have chairs for the concession committee. Other than that everything is open. Most pressing needs would be people to build the set, be in charge of costume committee, publicity, and fundraising. Without filling these positions, we are not sure if we can successfully put on a show.
We know that many of you are busy, and don’t feel that you have the time to commit to a leadership position. To those people, rest assured! Things are very organized, and essentially your biggest job will be to come to meetings and report information back to your committees, so that we don’t have two-hour meetings with too many people. Every meeting has an agenda, and will never go longer than an hour.
I also know that it seems early to be getting involved for a show in June, but please remember how much work and organization go on behind the scenes- we need people NOW!
If you know now that you’d like to be involved, or would like more information that is not available on the website, please e-mail Emily Meyerson at [email protected]
The website has all the information including complete rehearsal/meeting schedules and all the information about the committees and the show.
We can’t do this without you, and I would hate to see this part of North Baltimore Excellence be forgotten.
