On April 13, 2025, at 1:37 PM, The Wood County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two–vehicle crash which resulted in one fatality. The crash occurred at the intersection of US. RT. 6 and the I–75 southbound exit ramp.
The crash involved a Chevy Traverse and a Jeep Cherokee.
The investigation showed that the Chevy Traverse was westbound on US–6. The Jeep came down the I–75 off ramp attempting to turn east onto US–6. The Jeep pulled out in front of the Traverse and was struck on the driver’s side.
The passenger of the Jeep was taken to Toledo Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The operator was taken to Mercy St. Vincent in Toledo with non–life–threatening injuries.
The operator of the Jeep was identified as 19 year old Devin Coon out of Woodville, Ohio. The operator of the Chevy was 41 year old Justin Fish out of Hoytville, Ohio. The deceased was identified as 67 year old Julia Coon out of Pemberville, Ohio.
Assisting on scene were Mid–County 120 EMS, Bowling Green EMS, and Cental Joint Fire.
The incident is still under investigation.
