Roxie Lee Barringer, 81, of North Baltimore, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at her home, surrounded by family. She married James Leroy Barringer on Nov. 28, 1959, and they shared 61 wonderful years together.

Roxie enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved having Sunday dinners and birthday dinners, that were held for each individual member of her family. She loved playing POGO games on her computer. Roxie had a huge heart for her cats, especially her cat, Lucky.

She is survived by her three children: James Barringer, Sally (John) Rasp, and Rusty (Maggie Hall) Barringer; four grandchildren: Beverly (Jesse) Girdler, Marissa Rasp, John “Johnny” Rasp, and Megan Rasp; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Caden Girdler; sister, Dona Atzbach; and brother, Lacy Griffith.

Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Doyle Griffith; spouse, James “Jim” Barringer, who died January 23, 2021; daughter-in-law, Judy Barringer; grandson, James “Jimmy” Barringer; and five siblings: Rose McCartney, Sharon Wittenmyer, William “Bill” Griffith, Sally Peters, and Lucinda “Cindy” Brown.

There will be a celebration of life for Roxie and Jim Barringer at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at The Basic Truth Church, 12389 Tank Farm Road, Cygnet, 43413. Viewing and visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, 515 N. Main St., North Baltimore, 45872. Any donations can be made in memory of Roxie’s grandson, James “Jimmy” Barringer, to The Ronald McDonald House Charities Northwest Ohio, 3883 Monroe St, Toledo, 43606.
