Ruth M. Westrick , 97

Ruth M. Westrick 97 of Rudolph passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.  She was born on March 24, 1920, in Henry County, Ohio to the late Julius and Pauline (Wells) Hoffman.  She married Francis Westrick on April 20, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1998.

Ruth is survived by her sons: Donald Westrick of Rudolph, OH, James (Jeanie) Westrick of Elk Grove, CA and Thomas (Lisa) Westrick of Hereford, AZ; her daughters: Janet (Gary) Yarger of Rudolph, Barbara Ann (Charles) Wolfe of Kokomo, IN, Karen (Chris) Yann of Richmond, VA and Susan Westrick of Valparaiso, IN; her brothers: Paul Hoffman and Melvin Hoffman, both of Holgate, OH; her sisters: Erma Biler of Holgate, OH and Nelda Garrison of Kokomo, IN; her sister-in-law, Caroline Hoffman of Holgate; 13
grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Ned and Cathy Westrick; as well as her brother, Eugene Hoffman.

Ruth was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore.  She had been a 4H advisor for 20 plus years and was an avid quilter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore.  Father Art Niewiadomski Celebrant.  Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery, Rudolph, OH.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
