The regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2915 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS Complex.
After a brief review of financial statements by Treasurer, Eve Baldwin, and administrative reports which can be read elsewhere in this publication, the Board moved to regular business items.
Superintendent, Ryan Delaney, explained the additional paving of the lot on the East side of the MS/HS Complex. This will give us additional parking for events and activities at the building. The contract was awarded to Schoen, Inc.
The Superintendent that Kindergarten registration will start April, 6 at Powell Elementary School.
Regular agenda items:
Accepted the resignation for retirement from Jeanne Titus, Elementary Teacher, effective June 1, 2015.
Approved a One-Year Disability Leave beginning April 1, 2015 through STRS far Anthony Mulholland through March 25, 2016. This position will be filled with a one
year only contract for the next five years if necessary.
Approve a Long-Term Substitute Contract with the Wood County ESC for Alex Glasford for the remainder of the 2014-15 school year as a substitute for Anthony Mulholland, Science Teacher. Total cost of the contract will be $10,638.
Accept the resignation for retirement for RJ Swartz, Custodian. effective June 1, 2015.
Approved the following supplemental contracts for the 2014-15 school year:
Zach Walls Assistant Baseball Coach
Ryan Clark Assistant Baseball Coach
William Schafer Assistant Softball Coach
Kevin Hopple Assistant Track Coach
Mike Senour Assistant Track Coach
Approved the non-renewal of all winter sports supplemental contracts as per past practice.
Approved the non-renewal of the following winter sports supplemental contract:
Matt Archer – Jr Hi Girls Basketball (Tim Archer abstained)
Approved an agreement with Owens Community College for College Credit Plus Program for the 2015-16 school year. The cost is $40 per credit hour.
Approved the annual membership with the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Government (TMACOG) for a cost of $100 for 2015.
Approved the Comprehensive Membership and Video Streaming Services with NWOET for the 2015-16 school year at a cost of $1,894.17. These services are used district-wide by the teachers.
Approved the bid proposal submitted by Schoen, Inc. for the Asphalt Paving of the MS/HS parking lot, (East Side), at a cost of $54,250.
Approved the annual donation to the Wood County Olympics Program of $300.
No Committee reports were given.
The Board moved to executive session to discuss some personnel issues. No action taken.
The next regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS Complex.

I’d like to see some lighting along the drive on the west side of the HS, especially at the curve at the back. I thought by now that would have happened. During basketball season it is so dark and when a little snow covers the road it isn’t easy to see the road.
