Parking Lot Paving Completed at NB High School

The regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local School District was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS complex.
One of the highlights was the announcement that the parking area on the East side of the MS/HS building was completed. This will add additional paved parking for special events held at the school.
Plans are underway to begin work on the new baseball and softball fields to be located on the Southwest section of the MS/HS complex. More details when the plans are completed.
After a brief review of financial statements by Treasurer, Eve Baldwin and a brief report by Superintendent, Ryan Delaney, the Board moved to regular agenda items.
Superintendent’s recommendations:
Accepted the resignation of Kristal King from Intervention Specialist and Special Education Supervisor effective at the end of the 2014-15 school year.
Accepted the resignation of Vicki Grilliot, cafeteria (2 hours) at the end of the 2014-15 school year.
Approved a one year certified contract to Angela Szozublewski, Elementary Teacher for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved a one year certified to Steven Green, Intervention Specialist, for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved a one year certified contract to Katy Dauer, Intervention Specialist, for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved a one year certified contract to Samantha Stamm, Intervention Specialist, for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved a one year certified contract to Lisa Reider, Intervention Specialist, for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved a supplemental contract to Alyssa Logsdon as an Extended School Year Tutor for the Summer of 2015 for two students for five weeks at 25 hours per week at $20 per hour for each
student.
Approved a one year classified contract to Phillip Stefanka, custodian at 6 hours per day, 5 days per week for the 2015-16 school year. This is a 12 month contract for 260 days beginning July 1, 2015.
Approved a one year classified contract to Cheryl Spangenberg, bus aide, 4 days per week/151 days per year, approximately 5 hours per day for the 2015-16 school year.
Approved supplemental contracts to Kathi Bucher and Charlotte Powell. They will share summer bus cleaning positions at the rate of $50 per bus for 9 buses (to be split 50% for each position) in preparation for the 2015 annual bus inspection on June 19, 2015.
Approved the following 2015-16 classified substitutes, which includes the summer of 2015, at step 0 on an as needed basis.

Approved the usual supplemental contracts for the 2015-16 school year for all sports and other activities.
Approved in lieu of transportation costs for students that attended non-public school and are impractical to transport but eligible to receive state reimbursement of $250 per student for the 2014-15 school year upon verification by the school of attendance.

Approved an agreement with Fueleducation for on-line learning for the 2015-16 school year at a total cost of $11,695.
Approved the purchase of 240 Acer Chromebooks with software and mobile carts from CDW-G Company at a cost of $81,540.30 for the 2015-16 school year to be paid out of PI Funds.
Approved an agreement with NOACSC for FY 16 computer services per fee schedule for an estimated amount of $15,829.
Approved Reiter Dairy as the dairy product supplier for the 2015-16 school year.
No committee reports were given.
The Board moved to executive session at 6:40. No action taken.
