NORTH BALTIMORE — Mandy Slane mentors troubled students, sits down with youngsters at lunch, and created a pantry of free food and hygiene items for students to take whenever needed.
All while being a full-time police office on the North Baltimore force.
Slane is the only combined school resource office and D.A.R.E. instructor in the nine county school districts.
