The County Home Gift Shop at the Wood County Historical Museum will be open on Black Friday (Nov. 24) and Shop Small Saturday (Nov. 25) from 1:00-4:00 PM. The Museum will also be open for self-guided tours of the WWI exhibit Over There!  Send Word: The Wood County Boys are Coming! World War I, 1914-1918. Museum admission is $5/adult, $1/child, and free for WCHS members; there is no charge to visit the Gift Shop.

The Museum Gift Shop features SHOP LOCAL items including Schooner Farms, Gilead Candles, King’s Berries, and Stadium Salsa, as well as local artisans Larry Zengel (glass), Sue Cayton (fiber), Bob Willman (blacksmithing), and Andrea Van Vorhis (photography). All Dover Christmas books are 25% off the month of November. Featured local history authors and WWI-themed items are also available. Special Wood County gift baskets are available, which include a Historical Society annual membership.

The museum is located at 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green. Both the Gift Shop and Museum are open Monday – Friday, 10AM – 4 PM and weekends 1-4 PM. Both are closed on county holidays, which are noted at woodcountyhistory.org.
