NB GOOD OLE SUMMERTIME FESTIVAL-JULY 30th
The Good Ole Summertime Festival has been a North Baltimore tradition for over 30 years. This annual festival is always held on the last Saturday of July in downtown North Baltimore. The day begins with a golf tournament at Birch Run Golf Club, which benefits the NB Alumni Association Scholarship Fund and a 5K Run/Walk benefiting the North Baltimore Track Program. Bingo will be happening at the Fire Hall with proceeds supporting the NB Music Boosters
The Red Shoe Society BG and Beyond is hosting a Charity Car Show benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of NW Ohio. The first 100 registered cars receive a 3rd edition commemorative license plate and a goodie bag. Awards will be given in 21 categories. Raffle tickets will be sold for a set of 4 Cooper Tires. There are Door Prizes, Trophies and Awards too. A commemorative t-shirt will be available at the show.
Afternoon entertainment includes Country Gold Review. “Solid Country Music for REAL country music fans”. Ed Byerly on Pedal Steel Guitar & 5-String Banjo; Jim Corbin on Lead Guitar; Steve Rayle on Drums; Todd Rader on Bass. Ed has opened for and/or backed up many Nashville artists.
Evening entertainment will be Loose Cannons. Based in Findlay, Ohio, Loose Cannons is NW Ohio’s Party Band. Classic Rock, Silly Tunes & maybe even a guy wearing a kilt. “This is no place for a nervous person!” – L. Mason. Loose Cannons was established in 1998 and although some members have changed, the goal remains the same: To provide the area with great classic rock n roll music and to have a helluva lot of fun.
There is also a corn hole tournament, sponsored by the NB Rotary Club, with cash payouts to the winning teams. Also check out the Military Vehicle Display, craft/retail/flea market, bingo, flower show, rides, kids events, a kids craft zone, a variety of food, and more.
A 50-50 raffle is also being held. Tickets are on sale NOW at Cyber Solutions, NB Village Offices, and the NBACC office, all located in North Baltimore. Early bird drawings will be held 2 times the day of the festival, paying out $25 each and the winning ticket goes back in the pot for the main drawing.
The day ends at the North Baltimore Village Park with the “BEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN THE AREA” that you won’t want to miss, Sponsored by Hancock Wood Electric Cooperative.
