The North Baltimore Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to thank those who helped make the 2014 Annual Halloween Parade a success. It takes everyone to work together to make an event like this happen and it starts long before the day of the event.
Thank you to the following people (hopefully we did not miss anyone) American Legion Color Guard, Mary Hinkelman, Adam Flores, Rachelle Lincoln, and Eric Lincoln and Chrissy Ohms for performing judging duties for both the costumes and floats, DJ Dale Hinkelman for the fantastic pre-parade music show, parade announcing, and of course the post-parade “street party” music, Leslee Thompson and Nikki Bowen for help with the Prince and Princess items, Dennis Miller and Christopher Snyder for parade line-up, Bill Cameron, Sandy Stewart, Brenda Stimmel, Dan Stimmel, Jaimye Bushey, and Sara Williams. Also, Thank you to Great Scot for donating candy for McDonalds to pass out to kids, and Birch Run Golf Club for use of golf carts.
Thank you to Jeff Snook of Snooks Dream Cars in Bowling Green, for the the use of his 1959 Ford Fairlane Retractable to drive the Grand Marshal in the parade. Thanks to Doug Wickard for helping us at the theater for the free movie, A big Thank You to Chief Francisco and The NB EMS/Fire Dept for their annual donuts and cider for the community following the parade, Chief Baer and the NB Police for all their work before, during and after the parade. Thanks to THENBXpress.com and The North Baltimore News for promotion and publicity. Also thank you to Roxie Emahiser for keeping the gazebo decorated for our festivities.
And of course, thank you to all the participants in the parade and also those who took the time to make floats and costumes for our contests-without your participation, we wouldn’t have a parade!
If we missed anyone it was not intentional. It takes many people to have a wonderful parade!
