BOWLING GREEN, OH (January 12, 2018) — As part of this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, 60 BGSU volunteers will work together to construct 15 mini libraries. The mini libraries will made available to homeowners and community groups, with preference given to lower-income areas of Bowling Green. Construction expertise is being provided by Habitat for Humanity volunteers. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is an annual community service event that is open to all students, faculty, & staff at BGSU. The event engages over 800 volunteers and more than 45 community partners, of which Habitat for Humanity is one. In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., volunteers serve on MLK, Jr. Day to make it “a day on, not a day off.”
