(Bowling Green, OH)- St. Patrick’s Day is often associated with the color green, leprechauns, and Irish traditions. It is celebrated as both a cultural and religious holiday on March 17th. In 2017, celebrate with The Wood County Humane Society and our Pot of Gold Adoption Special.
Any potential adopters will have the chance for discounted or waived adoption fees from Tuesday, March 14th through Sunday, March 19th. Adopters can come to the shelter and pull a coin from the pot of gold ranging from $5.00 off to the highest amount of a waived adoption fee. The special applies to cats seven months and older and select dogs.
All adoptable animals have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped. The Wood County Humane Society is located at 801 Van Camp Drive, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Shelter hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 12:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday thru Sunday 12:00pm-5:00pm. The WCHS, located in Bowling Green, Ohio, is a private, non-profit managed admission shelter providing care for homeless and abused pets and investigating cruelty complaints in Wood County. The organization receives no funding from government organizations, The United Way, or national humane organizations, instead relying on earned revenue and the generosity of individual donors and businesses to fund our programs such as Safe Haven and food assistance programs, spay/neuter transport, and educational presentations. The WCHS provides care for hundreds of animals each year—from dogs and cats, to horses, goats, and pocket pets. All animals admitted into our adoption program are housed and cared for as long as it takes to find their fur-ever home. For more information on adopting and/or volunteering, see:
