The third week of October marks the annual National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week throughout the Nation. The week will be filled with awareness and educational opportunities throughout the Campus of BGSU.
Fatal Vision Goggle activity with BGSU Police and the Wellness Connection will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 and Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Union for the students to experience the effects of alcohol on their system without consumption.
On Friday, October 20, 2017 beginning at 5:15 pm, a mock crash will be held in the grass area north of Memorial Hall, east of Olscamp Hall. Sponsored in conjunction with Delta Zeta sorority, it will simulate an alcohol involved fatal crash and the response that is involved in a fatal crash. The crash is open to the public and we encourage everyone to attend.
Bowling Green Fire Division, Life Flight, BGSU Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bowling Green Police, and the BGSU Counselling Center will be active participants in the crash.
Every day from 11 am to 2 pm we will be conducting “Candy Cab”. Each day the Wellness Connection will be taking out our Golf Cart to reach out to students testing their knowledge on alcohol facts. We will offer them a ride to class and a chance to win a fun prize.
