Tiger Boys beat Cory-Rawson

The North Baltimore High School Boys Basketball team picked up another BVC win in The Jungle, beating the visiting Hornets 56 – 50.

The Tigers improved their record to 5 – 4 in the BVC and 10 – 8 overall.

NB was led by Chad Wright with 19 points, 10 rebounds and a one-handed slam dunk, followed by a two-handed power slam, to cap off and very exciting and hard fought game!

Cory Rawson 1-16 came to The Jungle wanting an upset, and nearly pulled it off, as they hit 17 of 20 free throws to stay in the game. But NB hit 16 of 21 free throws to keep pace from the line and seal the win.

In another solid team win, NB got 11 points and 3 steals from Levi Newcomer, Derek McMahan  7 points and 10 rebounds, Lane Bishop 4 points and 9 rebounds,  Noah Brian 8 points, Sean Watson 7 points and 3 assists. Jacob Pelton, Chris Richmond and Skylar Montgomery provided quality minutes in support.

Cory-Rawson’s Matt Alspach led all scorers with 21 points.

North Baltimore won the JV game 32-24.

The Boys are at home again TONIGHT with Riverdale coming to town – come on out and watch some exciting high school hoops!
