Holgate comes to North Baltimore High School, The Jungle, for some non-league hoops, holding off a Tiger comeback and picking up a one point win.
NB dug themselves a pretty good hole for three quarters, down 30 – 22 in an ugly shooting contest. But in the 4th the boys tried to get back into the game, outscoring Holgate 18 – 11, but fell short 41 – 40.
Chad Wright led the Tigers with a double – double, scoring 12 and grabbing 10 rebounds. Sean Watson scored 8 with 3 assists, Derek McMahan hit for 6 points, with Levi Newcomer and Noah Brian (3 steals) scoring 5 each. Lane Bishop managed 3 points and Chris Richmond 1 point.
Holgate was led by Jake Grim and Austin Bucholtz with 9 points each.
North Baltimore falls to 2 – 5 on the year.
