The Varsity Girls had two Award winners placing in the top 30. Lyida Hartman finished 23rd with a 23:47 and Alivia Delancy finished 26th with a career record of 24:02. Lucy Trout finished in 73rd with a solid time of 30:33.
The Varsity Boys had three PR’s on the day, Jordan Kimmel (21:59) finished 77th, Darrian Zitzelberger (23:25) finished 99th, and Alex Trout (23:30) finished 100th. The boys were led by Levi Trout’s sub 18 (17:56), finishing 9th as a medalist. Wyatt Mowery finished 65th, holding a nice consistent pace with splits of 6:41, 6:47, and 6:48 with a finishing time of 20:57. Gabe Gazarek and Zeth Johnson continue to chase down sub 21’s each having a consistent time of 21:17 and 21:42 finishing in 68th and 73rd, helping the boys finish with their best top 5 average for the season, now two races in a row with a 20:46. Jordan Coup finished 109th with a 25:44.
In the JH race Skyler Livingston finished in the top 50 with a 48th place with a time of 16:09.
The teams will run the next two Saturday’s at Owens (Findlay) for the BVC Championships and the OHSAA District meet. The BVC Championships start at 9am with the Boys Varsity race, 9:40 for the Girls Varsity race, 10:20 for the JH race, and 10:50 for the Elementary race. All League team awards will be handed out at the conclusion of the races. The Tiger runners have been training all year and looking to shine, even though it looks as mother nature will try to slow them down.
