The North Baltimore Tiger Boy’s hosted Ridgemont on Saturday, getting off to a slow and sluggish start, tied 10 – 10 at the end of the first quarter of play.
In the 2nd period, NB stepped it up a notch, outscoring the Golden Gophers 16 – 10, taking a 26 – 20 lead into halftime. In the 3rd the Tigers opened the lead a little further 48 – 37 and put the game away in the 4th, taking the non-conference win 71 – 48.
NB was led by Chad Wright with a double-double scoring 22 points and pulling down 15 rebounds. The Tigers other big man, Derek McMahon also contributed a double-double scoring 12 and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Lane Bishop hit for double figures with 11 points. Noah Brian hit three treys scoring 9; Sean Watson hit 6 points; Jacob Pelton scored 4 points; Levi Newcomer added 3, with Brody Naugle and Tyler Snyder scoring 2 each.
Ridgemont was let by T. Stover with 18 points.
NB is now 3 – 6 overall and 1 – 3 in the BVC.
NB picked up the Junior Varsity win 40 -17.
