The North Baltimore High School Boys Basketball team cruised to their first Blanchard Valley Conference win Friday night, pounding Vanlue 80 – 54.
Breaking open a relatively close game in the 2nd quarter, the Tigers used a 24 – 13 scoring advantage to open a 46 – 29 halftime lead, over the host Wildcats.
NB’s Lane Bishop hit for 16 points, dishing six assists; Chad Wright scored 15 points, with 8 rebounds; Sean Watson hit for a double – double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Noah Brian and Derek McMahan added 10 points each, with Levi Newcomer scoring 7; Christian Richmond and Tyler Snyder 3 points each; Skylar Montgomery and Brody Naugle 2 points each.
Vanlue’s Austin Smith led all scorers with 24 points and four assists.
