The Tigers picked up a win in the Jungle Friday night, which was NB’s Basketball Homecoming.
After having a big lead for the entire game, including a 17 point lead heading into the final stretch, NB had to fend off a feisty Hopewell Loudon team during the fourth quarter. The Chieftains came back strongly, and outscored the Tigers 25-10, but the home team came out the victor by a bucket.
Chad Wright, the Tigers “Tall Man”, who was crowned Homecoming King during pre-game festivities, led the Tigers with 28 points and seventeen rebounds. He fouled out mid-way through the fourth quarter.
