The Toledo Museum of Art and the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter have teamed up to offer a free program on Friday, Oct. 14, at the museum, called “Art Tells a Story.”
The program is part of the A Brush with Art series offered the second Friday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The series is designed specifically to provide fun, meaningful experiences for visitors with mild memory loss and their friends and families.
“Art Tells a Story” will illustrate how visual artists use plot, character and setting to tell a story. Participants will be invited to tell their own stories inspired by a work of art in the galleries.
All museum galleries are fully accessible and wheelchairs are available at no charge. Parking is free for tour participants and tokens are available through the group leader. Registration is requested by calling the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900.
