The Ohio High School Athletic Association would like to recognize some of the state’s top scholar athletes with two scholar athlete awards. This graduating class is so high-achieving, I could’ve used 10 more certificates to hand out.
This award goes to the senior boy and girl with the highest GPA and receive a minimum of 4 varsity letters in all sports combined.In the event of a tie, you would count up all varsity letters earned. I still had a tie. I had to go clear back to
when these students were freshman and add up the number of seasons they participated in to break the tie.
This year’s recipients both have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have spent many seasons on the playing field: Congratulations Valerie Buchanan and Noah Cotterman
