Upcoming ODOT work this week

The following is highway construction scheduled to occur within Hancock County.

Interstate 75 northbound just north of state Route 103, Bluffton, will have reduced-width lanes beginning September 11 for replacement of curb and guard rail. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained the majority of the time but some intermittent lane closures will occur during daytime and nighttime hours. Work is being performed by Eagle Bridge, Sidney.
U.S. 30 near the Allen County line will be reduced to one lane through the work on Monday, August 28 for repair of concrete pavement. Work is being performed by ODOT roadway services.
Pavement repair will take place at the following locations with traffic maintained through the work zone. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage:
- State Route 18 approximately two miles east of the village of Bloomdale to the city of Fostoria
- State Route 103 between the villages of Bluffton and Arlington
- U.S. 68 within the village of Arlington
The following locations will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during installation of center line rumble stripes. Work will continue until mid September. Work is being performed by Gerken Paving, Napoleon:
- U.S. 224 from state Route 235 to just west of Findlay
- U.S. 224 from the east side of Findlay to the Seneca County line
- State Route 12 from Findlay to Fostoria, excluding the village of Arcadia
State Route 235 from the Hardin County line to county Road 304 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair and resurfacing. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.
State Route 12 just east of Benton Ridge closed July 17 for approximately 60 days for a bridge deck repair. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 235, U.S. 224 and Interstate 75 back to state Route 12. Work is being performed by Global Outdoor Solutions, Cleveland.
Resurfacing of the following routes within the city of Findlay will be completed late this summer in coordination with work being performed by the city of Findlay. Work is being performed by M&B Asphalt, Old Fort.
- State Route 37 from Lincoln Avenue to Blanchard Avenue
- State Route 568 from Main Street to Beech Avenue
U.S. 68 from the Findlay airport to Eagle Creek, south of Findlay, will have daily lane closures in both directions beginning August 12 for installation of cable barrier in the median. Once work begins, it is expected to be completed in approximately eight weeks. The project also includes the installation of overhead lighting and the removal of the caution flasher at Western Avenue. Work is being performed by Lake Erie Construction, Norwalk.
U.S. 224 just west of state Route 235, west of Findlay, closed July 24 for approximately 30 days for a culvert replacement. The route is expected to reopen to traffic on Friday, August 25. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 224, state Route 235, state Route 12 and state Route 65 back to U.S. 224. Work is being performed by BCC Ohio, New London (see map).
