We continue to prepare for the elevator construction – you know what they say, measure twice, cut once! …. But despite being “closed” for public tours, we still have a lot going on out on the grounds and at our partner locations -here’s more:
TEA: WHO’S GOT THE BUTTON? Lori Parratt shares the history of buttons, traditional games, identification, and craft ideas. Our remaining 2015 tea themes are: Children’s Happy Birthday, Autism Awareness with the Black Swamp Ice Frogs youth hockey organization, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead, 7 PM tea), 100 Years of Cookbooks, and our two Christmas Teas will feature live music and presentations on the history of Christmas Carols and Advent Traditions of Germany and Austria – http://www.woodcountyhistory.org/events_tea.html WOOD COUNTY ONLINE SURPLUS AUCTION – It’s like garage sale-ing but without the mosquitoes! Join us at MAX & ERMA’S Restaurant in Perrysburg (Levis Commons) on JULY 20, 11 AM – 11 PM, for a fundraiser to support the Accessibility Project. 20% of your bill will be donated to WCHS, so print out the attached coupon, or download from woodcountyhistory.org, and help support the Historical Society.
