BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) delivers water and sewer services to over 19,000 customers in Wood, Sandusky and Hancock counties. Although many of our construction and maintenance projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact roads throughout our area. The District will announce updates and when additional projects are under contract. Updates and additions are highlighted in bold and underlined.
Bloomdale – Water Line Maintenance *UPDATE*
Through November, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Cherry Street in Bloomdale for restoration work. Project complete: November.
Millbury – Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Through June 2018, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of Millbury for sewer work and manhole repairs. Project complete: June 2018.
Northwood – Curtice Road Waterline Replacement
Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Curtice Road between Bradner Road and Reva Drive for minor restoration work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: March 2018.
Perrysburg Township – Sanitary Sewer Improvements *NEW PROJECT*
Effective today, through July 2018, short-term intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout Perrysburg Township, north of SR 795, for sewer work and manhole repair. Project complete: July 2018.
Perrysburg Township – Starbright Subdivision Water Line Project
Through November, lane restrictions and closures are possible within the Starbright subdivision. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: November.
Plain Township – U.S. Route 6 – Water Main Maintenance *UPDATE*
Water main work on US 6, between Green Road and Potter Road has been postponed until further notice. Shoulder restrictions will be announced.
Washington Township, State Route 65 Pump Station Upgrade *UPDATE*
Through November, daytime lane restrictions are possible on State Route 65 near State Route 235 for pump station upgrade. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: November.
Through December, weekdays from 8am until 3:30pm, crews will be flushing and testing fire hydrants in Northern Wood County. Testing will be performed on all hydrants in the City of Rossford and all hydrants east of the City of Perrysburg corporation limits to I-280 in Lake Township. The affected areas include Ampoint Industrial Park, Owens Community College, Village of Walbridge, Moline and Ohio Turnpike Exit 5 Interchange. Subdivisions that will be tested include The Hamlet, Belmont County Club, Starbright, Lakemont, Homecraft, etc. Residents are advised to flush water from their taps if the water becomes discolored.
