FINDLAY, Ohio (June 9, 2015) – Military Veterans Resource Center invites job seeking veterans and spouses to attend a Veterans Career Workshop on Wednesday, June 24. The workshop is free for participants and will take place at MVRC’s office, located423 Trenton Ave. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch included.
“The career workshop is an opportunity for veterans to build their job search skills and practice translating their military accomplishments for civilian employers,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “Many past participants have received interview invitations soon after completing the workshop.”
The workshop will include individual career assessments, a resume session, a mock interview session and a one-on-one consultation with a MVRC Veterans Services Specialist. If veterans have a resume, they should bring it, as they will spend time revising their current resume or developing a new one.
