FINDLAY, Ohio (March 2, 2015) – Military Veterans Resource Center invites job seeking veterans to attend a career workshop on Thursday, March 19. Veterans Service Specialists will help veterans jumpstart their careers by improving their job search skills and teaching them to become more competitive candidates. This event is free of charge and will take place at MVRC’s Findlay office, located at 423 Trenton Ave. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch included.
“We’ll work with vets one-on-one and make sure they’re prepared to communicate their skills and experiences to civilian employers,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “Many past participants have received interview invitations and job offers soon after completing the workshop.”
Veterans who already have resumes should bring them, as they will spend time revising their current resume or writing a new one. Veterans Service Specialists will also conduct mock interview sessions and help the participants improve their interview skills.
