WC Park District: 2025 Plant Sale Volunteers Needed

2025 Plant Sale Volunteer Needs

Volunteer Website

Plant Training for all Greenhouse Helpers, Plant Sale Volunteers and Master Gardeners!

Wednesday, April 16; 11 am

J.C Reuthinger Memorial Preserve

30730 Oregon Road, Perrysburg

Not required but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED before volunteering! Mark your calendars and come learn with our OSU Volunteer Training with Pam Bennet!

It’s a good idea to look at the entrance of Reuthinger on google maps street view before you leave, it has an awkward driveway close to an intersection. If you are approaching from the south, heading north on Oregon road, the park is a right turn before the Oregon Rd & Caple Blvd intersection. I think this way is less stressful. If you are coming from the north on Oregon Rd, it will be a left turn, crossing 3 lanes of traffic, right after the same intersection (Oregon Rd & Caple Blvd).

Adopt-a-Garden/Adopt-a-Nursery Bed Information Meeting

Monday, April 21; 6 – 7 pm

J.C. Reuthinger Memorial Preserve

30730 Oregon Road, Perrysburg

Do you have a green thumb and enjoy working outdoors? Are you curious about the benefits of native plants? Join staff and returning volunteers to learn about the adoptable native gardens and plant beds within your Wood County Parks and what you can do to help!
