WC Parks offer Fall Programs

We hope to see you at these great programs:
Native American Moccasin-Making
Wednesdays, October 21 – November 18; 6:30- 9 pm
Park District Headquarters
18729 Mercer Road, Bowling Green
Make authentic Native American moccasins in a month-long, skill-building workshop. The Plains two-piece style will be featured. Attendance at all sessions is required. Cost: $25; FWCP $20.
Fall Dune & Owl Hike
Friday, October 23; 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Rudolph Savanna- Slippery Elm Trail (SET)
Rudolph Road, ½ mile north of Mermill Road
It’s a hoot to hike into the night on the dunes and
along the trail. Owls call, kinglets flit by, witch-hazel radiates sweet spider-like blossoms, and sunsets are striking. Who says that nature is slowing down?

See the parks in glorious fall colors. Visit a few of
your WCPD parks, with a short naturalist-led hike at each park stop. Cost: $5/person; FWCP: $3

Jack–O’–Lantern Open Archery 
Monday, October 26; 4:30 – 7:00 pm
Otsego Park
20000 West River Road, Bowling Green
No registration needed – come anytime between
4:30 – 7:00 pm to give our new archery program a shot! Carve your own target pumpkin or use arrows to make a “holey” pumpkin jack-o’-lantern at this
scary-fun program! Pumpkins, carving tools,
and archery gear provided. Participants must be at least ten years of age; minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.  Register Here – FREE

Fun or spooky, wear your costume for this high-tech hunt with tricks and treats. We provide the GPS units. Dress for the weather and slightly rough terrain for short, self-guided, off-trail exploration. Costumes are encouraged for all ages! Register Here – FREE
