Explore, learn, and get dirty at our half-day Nature Camps! Every day offers new educational and entertaining activities to connect campers to the outdoors and all the things that call it home. A field trip to another Wood County Park expands the exploration of the outdoors, and the joy of discovery! Paddle the Pond
 
Monday, June 10th; 4:00pm – 7:30pm
W.W. Knight Nature Preserve

No Registration Required. Enjoy a float on the pond at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve; perfect for a family outing, comfort-builder for beginners, or relaxing exercise! An instructor will be available for introductory safety and skills education. All boats, life-jackets, and paddles provided. Boats and gear on a first-come-first-served basis. Enjoy a nature walk while you wait! The last Monday of every month will feature kayaks along with canoes: June 24, July 29, August 26. Must be 4 years of age or older to ride, 12 years old for kayaks. Call ahead for special needs accommodations. Kayaking programs made possible with ODNR Division of Watercraft.

Bird Song I.D. Part Two

Archery Skills: The Complete Archer

Part 1: June 11 (6:30-8:30 pm) Part 2: June 13 (6:30-8:30 pm) Attendance at both sessions required. Transform into an arrow-slinging archer! This two-session course is designed to equip the novice with the tools to safely navigate the range, become familiar with basic archery equipment and create a solid foundation to work on precision and accuracy. All archery equipment provided.

Tweenagers: Explore the Wetlands

Search for macro-invertebrates, frogs, and other creatures in and around the wetland. Learn how this ecosystem impacts our lives and how to contribute to good water quality. This is a drop-off program; you are encouraged to leave your tween with us and return for pickup!

 

 
 
Kayak Safety & Rescue

Three Meadows Pond: 700 Three Meadows Drive, Perrysburg
 
Join American Canoeing Association instructors to advance your touring kayak safety and rescue skills. Be prepared to take a swim through this involved course that will help you keep all boats afloat and prepare you for when they don’t float.
