The Perrysburg Exchange Club held a meeting on November 25, 2019 to donate (SO) care backpacks to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. The goal of the Perrysburg Exchange Club was to supply items that would provide comfort, or items of necessity, to children who have been either displaced due to a negative situation in their homes, house fires, natural disasters or homelessness. These backpacks donated have a blanket, hat, gloves, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, tissues, a book, crayons, a small toy, stuffed animal and a game inside of them.

“We are grateful for the generous donation from the Perrysburg Exchange Club” said Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn. “They approached us a few months ago stating their desire to use their initiative for children who may need them within Wood County and we were delighted to participate with them. These bags will be given to our road patrol deputies to use accordingly on any call they are sent to that may have children in need.”
