William J. “Bill” Hamlin, 65, NB

William J. “Bill” Hamlin, 65, of North Baltimore, passed away at 5:26pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on January 7, 1954, in Bluffton, OH to the late John P. and Phyllis A. (Harris) Hamlin.

He married Janet Wilcox on August 12, 1990 and she survives.

Bill is also survived by his son, John W. Hamlin of Findlay; his daughters: Julie Hamlin of Findlay, and Joella Hamlin of Findlay; his step-sons: Josh Van Wormer of Findlay and Wesley (Jenn) Van Wormer of Columbus, OH; his sisters: Jackie K. Hamlin of Van Buren, and Cheryl A. (Doug) Hanna of Van Buren; and his beloved grandchildren: Genesis, Bradley, Taylor, Madison, Riley, William, Oscar, and Orson.

Bill was a 1972 graduate of McComb High School. He retired from Hearthside Food Solutions in McComb. He was a member of the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and the McComb V.F.W. #9231.

Bill was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, as well as a hunter, and a lover of wildlife. He will be forever known for his great sense of humor.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 4, 2019, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Portage Township.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00pm, Wednesday April 3, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Services, Findlay.
