Otsego Park

20000 West River Road, Bowling Green

Come on a modern treasure hunt! Learn how to use provided GPS units to explore Otsego Park in a way you never have before. Dress for the outdoors and be prepared for a brief self-guided exploration off trail on potentially rougher terrain. Participants should expect to walk over 1 mile. Hot beverages at the stone shelter will be provided. Leader: Craig Spicer.

“Spring arrives at the close of a winter day” (Elizabeth Bowen) and it starts in 2015 at 6:45.  Celebrate on a sunset hike along the Maumee to look for nature’s signs that warm weather and longer days are on the way. Leader: Pam Menchaca.

Brown Bag Lunch and Seed Cleaning

Saturday, March 21, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Park District Headquarters:  Community Classroom

18729 Mercer Road, Bowling Green

Pack your lunch (refrigerator and microwave available) and come help us clean the last of the native seeds for the season.  You can stay part of the time or all 4 hours.  These seeds were collected by volunteers to be propagated in the greenhouse or sown out in the parks. No experience needed and all the work will be done indoors in the heat.  Leader:  Lori Parratt .
