June Programs
Introduction to Kayaking
Friday, June 2nd; 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
700 Three Meadows Drive, Perrysburg
Join American Canoe Association instructors to build your kayaking safety and paddling skills. In the classroom and on the water, this beginner-friendly course will prepare you for your next kayaking adventure. All kayak gear provided. Dress for the weather and for swimming. Cost: $25 or $20 for Friends of the Parks members.
Kayak Safety & Rescue
Saturday, June 3rd; 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
700 Three Meadows Drive, Perrysburg
Join American Canoeing Association instructors to build your kayak safety and rescue skills. Be prepared to take a swim as this course helps you keep all boats afloat and prepares you for when they don’t. All kayaks and gear provided. Dress for the weather and for frequent swimming.
Heritage Farm Demonstration
Saturday, June 3rd; 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Carter Historic Farm
18331 Carter Road, Bowling Green
Stop by any time during the afternoon the first Saturday of each month to see farm staff and volunteers in action working on the farm. Each month’s activity is dependent upon the season’s progress, so themes are subject to substitution. For June, we’ll be getting the vegetable patch ready for Heritage Farm Fest.

W.W. Knight Nature Preserve

Join us for free paddling every Monday throughout the summer. This activity is perfect for a family outing, comfort-builder for beginners, or relaxing exercise! An instructor will be available for introductory safety and skills education. All boats, life-jackets, and paddles provided. Boats and gear available on a first-come-first-served basis. Must be 4 years of age or older to canoe and 12 years old for kayaks. Call ahead for special needs or accommodations. Kayaking programs made possible by a grant from ODNR Division of Watercraft.
No registration needed.
