Bowling Green, OH (April 6, 2017) – More than 65 million people, 29% of the U.S. population, provide care for a chronically ill, disabled, or aged family member or friend during any given year and spend an average of 20 hours per week providing care for their loved one.(caregiveraction.org)
In order to support these caregivers The Wood County Committee on Aging will be facilitating its third annual Caregiver’s Night Out on Friday, April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. Caregivers from all around the county are invited to join us at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 North Main Street, Bowling Green for a relaxing, rejuvenating, and socially engaging evening that will allow you time for some self-care.
The interactive sessions will allow you to take part in classes and programs such as cardio drumming, manicures, massages, meditation, painting and more! Dinner with live music will be provided.
Caregivers’ care recipients will also enjoy an evening out with games and activities at First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Rd, Bowling Green while accompanied by BGSU student volunteers and home care staff.
Caregivers will also have the option of spending the evening independently!
