Bowling Green, OH (February 3, 2015) – Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will be participating in the Meals on Wheels Association’s ‘Love Letters’ program in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Tens of thousands of youth volunteers nation-wide are busy creating hand-crafted Valentine’s Day cards for older homebound individuals.
The letters will be sent out to older homebound individuals in Wood County who receive home-delivered meals through WCCOA on Friday, February 13, 2015.
The campaign is designed to make the homebound individuals feel special, knowing that someone is thinking about them on Valentine’s Day.
“This is a great opportunity for our young people to show their appreciation for the older generation,” said Angie Bradford, Director of Food Service at the Wood County Committee on Aging. “The ‘Love Letters’ will mean so much to the homebound individuals.”
