Wood County Humane Society Unleashes Wine & Dine Event

(Bowling Green)— Come and get unleashed at the 21st annual Wine and Dine event for the Wood County Humane Society, which raised more than $10,000 for the organization in 2013. It will be held next Friday, May 20, in the Hilton Garden Inn, Levis Commons, 6165 Levis Commons Blvd, Perrysburg, Ohio. The event will run from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Guests will enjoy a menu of mac and cheese, chicken skewers, and antipasto platter served community-style at “grazing stations.” Along with food, beer and wine will also be available all of which is included in the ticket price.

Featuring entertainment by Perrysburg local, classic rock cover band Suburban Legend. A live auction, emceed by celebrity auctioneer Jerry Anderson, an on-air personality from WTOL Channel 11, will feature many items from all over the community. There also will be a silent auction. A complete list of auction items will soon be available for preview at the WCHS website.

Tickets for the event are $55/each, $100 for a couple, $175 for half table/4 tickets, and $350 for a whole table/8 tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the WCHS website woodcountyhumanesociety.org and at the door. Cash, check, and credit card payments are accepted.

Proceeds from the Wine & Dine support the WCHS. The event will be sponsored by Paws and Remember, Heidelberg Distributing Co., Lamar, Wayard Inn Bar and Grill, Perrysburg Animal Care, Karnik Pet Lodges, Invisible Fence, Third Street Cigar, Thayer and Metro Homes. Check out the event page at wineanddine2016.eventbrite.com for more details.

The WCHS, located in Bowling Green, Ohio, is a private, non-profit managed admission shelter providing care for homeless and abused pets and investigating cruelty complaints in Wood County. The organization receives no funding from government organizations, The United Way, or national humane organizations, instead relying on earned revenue and the generosity of individual donors and businesses to fund our programs such as Safe Haven and food assistance programs, spay/neuter transport, and educational presentations. The WCHS provides care for hundreds of animals each year—from dogs and cats, to horses, goats, and pocket pets. All animals admitted into our adoption program are housed and cared for as long as it takes to find their fur-ever home. For more information on adopting and/or volunteering, see:
