Nature Journaling Class

Slow down and connect with nature through journaling. Trained in Mindfulness Meditation, naturalist Emma will get the class started with a calming exercise and then move out into nature to guide the class in a session of nature journaling. Simple journals will be provided, but feel free to bring your own or any favorite journals or supplies you would like to use.
 
 
 
 
Mountain Bike Skills Camp: Bunny-hop & Wheelie

Take your bike-ability to the next level with The Right Direction pro instructors. Lifting the front wheel is for more than just tricks; learn the proper way to stay riding through drops in the trail. Each technique will be broken down into manageable steps with challenges designed to build confidence and biking skill. A properly-fitting helmet and mountain bike are required. Ages 14+. Catfish Tournament

One of the best fighting sportfish in the Maumee River becomes active right at dusk. Modest prizes will be awarded in adult and youth classes for most fish, and largest fish. This is a bring your own equipment and bait of choice event. Bug spray, repellent technology or clothing recommended as are flash or headlights and something to sit on. Kids must be 5 years or older. Ohio fishing regulations and license requirements will be observed.

Stop by anytime between 4:30 and 7:00 pm to borrow one of our GPS units or bring your smartphone with the Google Maps app and search for hidden geocaches in the park. Dress for the weather and be prepared for substantial walking and self-guided exploration. No SWAG for exchange necessary. Driver’s license needed to check out GPS units. Suggested age for GPS use is 8 and up. 
 
 
 
Fall Equinox Mindfulness Hike

Time outdoors and mindfulness practice have been found to be beneficial for our physical and mental health. Join naturalist Emma for a gentle walk and seated mindfulness practice to celebrate the equinox. Masks will be optional at this program, and all participants are welcome to attend regardless of their vaccination status. If you have not been vaccinated, please wear a mask while attending the program.

Crochet is not just for Grandmas! It’s not just for girls either! Learn the basics of crochet and how to make your very own scarf. Through this program, kids can improve their hand-eye coordination, gain a sense of accomplishment in making their own clothing, connect with their past and develop a new hobby. Ages 8-12.
