Arthur M. Patterson, Jr. died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born June 13, 1944, to Arthur and Mary (Eckert) Patterson. He married Diana Kromer Tatham on July 22, 1983, and they shared 42 years of marriage.
Survivors in addition to his wife include son, Christian Patterson and step-children, Allen Tatham (Stephanie) and Julie Heldman (Darwin). Also surviving are sons and daughters from a previous marriage to Mary Wilkinson Patterson, sons: Art III (Tamera), Adam (Jen), Andy (Diana), Aaron (Misty) Patterson; daughters: Monica Hartman, Di Patterson, and Lisa (Randy) Witlach. Also surviving are brothers, Gene (Deb) Patterson, Bill (Becky) Patterson, and sister, Pat (Jerry) Stauffer.
Art graduated in 1962 from North Baltimore High School. He was a proud member of Zenobia Jeepsters and enjoyed driving his 1949 Jeepster in many parades benefiting Shriners Children’s Hospital. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and North Baltimore Masonic Lodge #561. He enjoyed going up to the camper at the river and spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11: 00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Megan Kerr officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where a Masonic and Jeepsters service will be held at 7:30 p.m., and 1 hour prior to the service (10-11 a.m.) Saturday.
